STUART BRIDSON
Since completing a Master of Fine Arts from Canterbury University in 2000, Stuart has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in many group shows. His art awards include receiving the Ebbett Prestige Environmental Award at the Waitakaruru Sculpture Park, and the Small Sculpture Prize on Waiheke Island, as well as being selected twice as a finalist in the Wallace Art Awards.
Stuart’s current practice explores the nature of objects through sculpture and uses conceptual abstraction in painting to respond to the environment. He works with a variety of materials; his outdoor sculptures are specifically constructed from concrete and stainless steel.
Stuart currently lives and works from his studio in the Waitetuna Valley, located just off the main road to Raglan.
