MEGAN HOCKLY
Hi, I’m Megan Hockly, an artist based in Raglan, New Zealand. I create whimsical characters through painting, drawing, sewing and felting. I’ve been making things since I was a child, and my work is often autobiographical, inspired by memories and everyday life.
I’ve exhibited locally for a number of years and recently began making handmade dolls for my granddaughters Daisy and Eva, which has become a joyful part of my practice.
I’m inspired by artists who celebrate character and storytelling, and I love exploring the magic of making things by hand.
