LUCY AITKENREAD
Lucy’s work is inspired by the art created on city streets, where splashes of graffiti meet the peeling layers of old gig posters. Lucy comes to the canvas with the energy of the unpredictable, using old admin folders and manuals found at Kahu’s Nest and acrylic, spraypaint and oil sticks to layer, scrape away paste on; mimicking the accidental art on grimy walls and lampposts. Expect bright colours and dirty mark making overlaying Raglan’s decaying paperwork.
