Dyana works intuitively. Her inspiration comes from nature, in particular the intersection between the land and the sea, and the bush and mountains. She moves between representation and abstraction, often many times in one painting, creating layers of texture and colour, some totally overpainted but in a quiet way shaping what lies on top. The natural world reflected through paint, reveals shared feelings and emotions. This is the power of nature, and also the power of Dyana’s painting.
