Brodie Reynolds

Brodie Reynolds is a landscape artist, who creates atmospheric dreamlike scenes using fine layers of oil paint.

Her work is detailed, mystical and symbolic.

There is always a sense of mystery in her compositions, which can be seen and felt by the unique way she captures light and colour. The thin layers of translucency created with her use of oil paint creates a sense of peacefulness.

Brodie attended the British School of Fine Arts in Florence, where she was trained in classical techniques of drawing, brushwork and painting.

She continues to paint from her studio in Raglan, and has collectors both in NZ and overseas.

“My work is about awakening the heart and igniting hope. It’s about finding the light amongst the darkness, a pathway when you’re feeling lost, the stillness in the chaos, and the magical signs of our ancestors… I like to invite my viewers to go on a spiritual voyage, where you can momentarily dive into a dream-like experience… and in doing so, one remembers that anything and everything is possible”
