The Tuesday Potters have been making together socially since 2018. Join us in the studio for pottery wheel demonstrations, ceramic work, and upcycled fabric creations.
Belinda Thomas finds great joy in making! “Working across many disciplines but with a passion for hand building ceramics my work combines the practical with a large helping of colour and whimsy. As well as my joyful mermaid vases I am currently exploring the use of repurposed and recycled glass in my pottery, I am fascinated by the crackled, jewel tones of the class against the earthy clay.”
Michaela Latimer came to ceramics through a simple desire to make her own porridge bowl. She loves to create things that can be used and appreciated every day.
Sarah Sew Love is the softest of the pottos crew choosing to work with fabrics, with a focus on reducing landfill and celebrating reuse. Inspired by clothing, curtains, towels, offcuts, she uses 100% discarded items to repurpose into anything from fanny packs to snackage packages. Each is a special mash up of fabrics, stories and patterns, one of a kind – just like you!
Sarah Bing creates colourful scgraffito ceramic homewares and sculpture for everyday delectation. Sarah’s organic and playful forms are instantly recognizable and her interest in environmental sustainability informs her practice at a fundamental level. “My work is still reorienting itself after spending half of 2019 in India. RAW 2020 will be the first time since my return to really try to put the pieces together and see what arises.”
