Karron Campbell & Rickie Newton.
Mother and daughter, English born artists came to live in New Zealand in 2008, create between them a wide range of paintings, sculptures, jewellery and multimedia works.
They work from a Gallery/studio ‘The Creative Workshop’ on Cogswell Road, which Karron and Rickie have developed in what was once, a pig shed on their bushclad property.
This year they are joined by;
Born in Germany, came to Zealand in 2000 and a Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts. She moved to Raglan in January 2018 with her 3 children who whakapapa to Te Atiawa, Taranaki. Her work is influenced by the environment and Te Ao Maori which is shown in the use of her kowhaiwhai. Many of her pieces also tell of her own journey, her German/Italian background, her travels and her raising her family in Aotearoa.
Colleen has spent most of her life under the inspirational influence of Mt.Taranaki. Her passion for drawing and painting began 18 years ago. She has been using pencil, pastel, ink and painting with acrylics. Her preferred style is realism, realistic landscape and nature.
Heather began potting 40 years ago. She enjoys the process of hand building as it takes her to a “happy place” inside. Her current is making cows. Inspiration for this came from having had a stud of small cows (Dexters) for over 20 years. Her next adventure is illustrating as she also has a passion for drawing and painting.
