Simon is a contemporary visual artist who works with a variety of mediums to produce paintings in mixed media, Tā Moko (Māori tattoo), sculpture (stone and wood) and customised designs.
He obtained an Advanced Diploma and Bachelor of Arts Degree whilst studying at the Contemporary Māori Visual Arts School “Toihoukura” in Gisborne.
You can find his works at his arts business ‘Toi Hauāuru Arts Studio & Gallery in Whaingaroa, Raglan. Not only does Toi Hauāuru showcase a range of Simon’s works but also a range of other artists based in the community.
Commissions are his specialty.
