What fascinated me most in High School (a very long time ago…) was art,

When I migrated to New Zealand in 1996 – after a professional career in
software and high-tech IT in Europe – I set up “La Fleur bleue” in Raglan, a
glass studio dedicated to the art of Louis Comfort Tiffany. For many years I
created beautiful lamps, mirrors and windows, reflecting the work of Mr
Tiffany and introducing my own designs.
10 years ago I watched a glass artist in Venice working at the torch, melting
glass, creating three-dimensional objects – and I was hooked.
Since then “HeartBeads / NZ” means: handmade glass objects and jewellery,
completed with Sterling silver, everything made in Raglan / New Zealand.
My work can be seen at the “HeartBeads” studio here in Raglan, in selected
art galleries in New Zealand and in Europe and on my website
The “Perlen Symposium” in Wertheim / Germany is the foremost event and
exhibition in Europe for handmade glass objects, all created by
internationally famous glass artists. There are only 25 tables available. One
of them for “HeartBeads / NZ”.
