Born 1963 Dannevirke, New Zealand. Studied at Howick College then AUT: Graphic Design.
Became a secondary school Art Teacher in Hamilton for over two decades.
I moved to Raglan four years ago to be part of and contribute in whatever way I can to this incredible community.
My artwork is a personal journey of conscious energy and self discovery. I love to explore all art disciplines and have developed a special interest in mosaic and encaustic art.
My environment, especially my connection to the Moon and its healing energies, influence my work profoundly. My images evolve over time, intuitively as I investigate and experiment with textures and techniques, often combining media. I have developed a layering process using metallic acrylic paint. By removing layers I reveal the hidden treasures and meaning underneath. My work pays homage to my unique journey.
A Sculpture trail in my garden is a dream come true. I have created a sensory wonderland to explore and delight people of all ages, especially children.
